He runs a woodworking and CNC shop, and through CNCBoatKits.com he helps fellow builders turn their designs into reality, precision-cutting boat parts from customers' own files. On the water, Mark sails and restores his Catalina 25, sharing the triumphs and the headaches on his YouTube channel, Money Pit Boating. Whether he's dialing in a cut file or troubleshooting an outboard, he loves the hands-on side of boating. His long-term dream is to build and sail a modern wooden catamaran cut on his own CNC.
Why this directory exists
I built Boat Repair Michigan because finding the right shop for a boat is harder than it should be. I live in the Mount Clemens area, just off Lake St. Clair, and I sail and restore a Catalina 25, with the repairs good and bad on my YouTube channel, Money Pit Boating. Every season the same questions come up: who works on this engine, who will come to the dock, who has room for the boat over winter.
So this directory puts the boat repair shops I could find across Michigan in one place, city by city, and reads each shop's own website to show what it does.
I run a woodworking and CNC shop and cut boat parts for builders through CNCBoatKits.com, so I know what it means to stand behind your work. If you own one of these shops and something on your listing is wrong, tell me and I will fix it.
How listings are vetted
Every listing starts as a public business record on Google Maps. We kept Michigan businesses that are open, have at least one review, and either carry the boat repair shop category or use the trade's own words in their name, such as marine service, outboard or boat works. Duplicates were merged on phone number and address.
Then we read each business's own website. Fourteen services are marked for every shop, from outboard and sterndrive work to winterizing, shrink wrap, storage and dockside service. A service is marked only when the shop's own words say it. When there was no website to read, the listing says not enough info rather than guess.
Right now that is 514 boat repair shops in 57 Michigan cities, last refreshed 2026-10-04.
Owners can claim their listing for free. Every claim is checked by a person: a real local business, a matching email domain or a call to the number on the Google listing. Paid placements are marked as featured, premium or best-of wherever they appear.
